Connecticut (CT) is the 29th most populous state is in the USA's New England region. It is bordered in the north by Massachusetts, to the east by Rhode Island, and New York in the south and west (due to several New York islands spreading around Connecticut's coastline). it is the 4th most densely populatd state with 3.4 million people.
Southwestern Connecticut is a part of the large New York metropolitan area; Connecticut has three counties, Fairfield, New Haven and Litchfield) within the New York City metro statistical area, popularly known as the Tri-State Region. The majority of the population in Connecticut is based in Cheshire, New Haven County. George W. Bush was born in New Haven, CT

Storrs is in the county of Tolland in southeastern portion of Connecticut. The location is considered part of the Hartford metropolitan area.
